The burial service is set to occur on August 31 at 10 a.m. ET at More prominent Elegance Sanctuary in Detroit.
Open viewings will be held August 28 and 29 at the Charles H. Wright Gallery of African American History in Detroit, the artist's marketing specialist, Gwendolyn Quinn, already told CNN.
The unbelievable soul artist passed on last weekafter a fight with pancreatic malignancy. She was 76.

Holliday disclosed to CNN a week ago that she "revered" Franklin her "entire life."
"She was in every case simply extremely steady and, exceptionally astute," Holliday said.
