A New York police association is putting forth money prizes to ordinary individuals who intercede to help officers engaged with vicious encounters, an activity the city's police division is against staunchly.
Sergeants Kindhearted Affiliation President Ed Mullins said at a question and answer session that the program is "intended for individuals to get engaged with their networks to help the police," however not to go about as "vigilantes," Fox 5 detailed.
"We don't need regular people to turn out and begin beating individuals with bats," Mullins said. "We need you to help limit, and take after the heading of an officer that is out there."
The association is putting forth a $500-money remunerate for the individuals who partake in the program.
