Justin Verlander says supper on viral receipt was comped by inn

ANAHEIM, Calif. - One day in the wake of flaunting a million-dollar receipt for his lunch for being a "Dodger executioner" from The Beverly Hills Hotel on Friday, Houston Astros pro Justin Verlanderrevealed that his supper was comped.

The lodging tongue in cheek charged Verlander an additional $1 million since Houston beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the World Series a year ago.

The receipt circulated around the web, for some, things, including how costly the things were, for example, the $30 hotcakes, $42 chicken serving of mixed greens and $10 cranberry juice.

"The chief came over, and we wound up snickering about it," Verlander said. "They really wound up comping the feast. Everybody was discussing how costly the flapjacks were and the plate of mixed greens. It was comped. It worked out well for the two sides."

Verlander (13-8) didn't have his best stuff in his begin Saturday night, however he did sufficiently only in his six innings of work to lead the Astros to a 8-3 prevail upon the Los Angeles Angels.
